I just read of Brad's passing on this website. I am sorry I didn't know earlier. My thoughts are with all of you. They were a spectacular couple. Brad became a dear friend from 2001-2007 and it was my pleasure to work with him and assist him.

Bobbi (Barb) and I were best friends all through High School (Girls' Catholic Central). I married and moved to Calif. but returned to Detroit for one of our
Class Reunions... That's the last time I SAW her. But we did talk once in a while... We both ended up being artist - she in clay, my
love is hard-shelled gourds... I can't believe she and Brad are gone.
They were both marvelous people...

Brad and Bobbi played a large part in the lives of my parents Ulrich and Sue, and my own life as well, stretching back to when I babysat for them. Sailing trips, canoe trips, picnics to area lakes, ... I can scarcely believe that in less than a year, Bobbi, Brad, and both my parents, have all departed.
Brad always had something to say that made one feel important.
Bobbi's eternally youthful energy and positive outlook are an inspiration to me. Death made a tragic mistake when he claimed her so early.
It's an end of an era, but warm memories of fun times past will remain with me.

I have just learned of the untimely deaths of both Bobbi and Brad. I am so deeply saddened by this news. Bobbi and I shared many happy hours at the Potter's Guild together, chatting, potting, laughing at our children's antics and our own "in-jokes". We tended to work similar hours and became good buddies. When we moved to the sunny climes of California in June, 1974, I traded our Flexible Flyer sled and the big toboggan for one of Bobbi's lovely pots. I also bought a very large sculpture from her MFA show, which has been in a prominent place in our living room for 35 years. I think of Bobbi every day as I pass this beautiful sculpture on my way to our bedroom. I have many wonderful memories of Bobbi's humor and wit and her remarkable talent. I hope all of her family and friends take comfort in their own personal memories of this wonderful couple. With my sincerest sympathy,
Evie Jaffe

A charismatic man who my Dad,
G Brian, admired greatly.
If London wasn't so far I would love to be at the Memorial on Sunday to hear what everyone wants to say about Brad. I'm glad I could lend him my crutches last time he came over to England.

Wow, we live in Naples, Florida and come to A2 for the summer.I was shocked to see in The News both Brad and Bobbi had passed! Two wonderful people who knew how to celebrate life. I first met Brad in a seminar in the 80's he would always stand and share the best stories. And Bobbi what a fantastic women, lovely and talented. We have several of her pieces but the one we love best is outside on our patio called I believe, Atlantis and we proudly display to all our friends who absolutely love it. We also have fond memories of sailing around Mackinac Island enjoying the lake on a brisk October day listening to the Clarence Thomas hearings. We had a great adventure! And a round of applause to raising wonderful children. We especially love Brian and his family who we stay in contact with and must say Hi to them and hope they are doing well. A big hug to the whole family!

I am sorry to hear of Brad's passing and moving on to his next adventure.
My husband Paul Mason was Brad's best friend when they were in Tappan Jr. High and Ann Arbor Pioneer High. We all played in the high school band, marched for the games, and played for special occasions and graduations. Mr. Silfies and Mr.Yates were our conductors. We in the band were all good friends and knew we were a great team together. Brad played first chair flute. The family home was moved from the city to make room for a new womens athletic building. It was sat on a new basement and we personally built the septic field, connected the furnace and had the water well hooked up. When Brad met Bobbi he brought her to our house to introduce her and we certainly "approved her". It was a joyous time to sell our house to Brad and Bobbi; we knew it would be a great family home and they certainly made it that. I send you children love and sympathy, you had wonderful people for parents. Dorothy Mason

I worked with Brad for many years at Federal-Mogul. He always had a smile on his face and never had a cross word. After he retired from Federal-Mogul, he would come back for many of our holiday potlucks and dinners. It was always so good to see him and to catch up on what was going on in his life since retirment. He will be sorely missed.
